Dear vot= ers and friends of Taiping:

Perak State

Our beloved State of Perak enjoys triple happiness this month, 1st Raja Muda Dr Raja Nazrin Shah = has been blessed with a son, Seco= ndly we have a new State coaliation government and thirdly we have a new Menteri Besar. I invite you to join m= e in shouting 3 times: Daulat Tunku, Daulat Tunku, Daulat Tunku.

DAP:

On behalf of YB Nga Kor Min Parliamentary elect of Taiping, YB Yew Thian Hoe State Assembly elect of Aulong State Constituency and myself State Assembly elect o= f Pokok Assam Constituency, we thank you for having voted us i= nto Parliament and the Perak State Assembly respectively.

Our victory actually belong= s to the Taiping electorates who made it a Historic Victory on March 8th, 2008, that is in giving an additional Parliamentary seat to our YB Nga Kor Ming,= adding up the total opposition seats of 82, thus denying the BN Government of<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> its 2/3 majority in Parliament. At the State Assembly YB Yew = Thian Hoe and I would like to exten= d our deepest gratitute to you the Taiping electorates in electing us the 2 state seats of Aulong & Pokok A= ssam totaling the 31 state seats, = that enabled DAP to form the new Historic Perak State coalition Government with = PKR and PAS.

TAIPING

Taiping is very rich in history. The Larut War = was fought here. Anot= her historical event was etched last Saturday&= nbsp; when our very own Taiping boy Law Tzuo-Hann who received a hero̵= 7;s welcome, when he completed the OGA-Longwayhome Charity Ride, a 30,000 km solo cycling feat in 2= 93 days – from Los Angeles on May 28, 2007 to Taiping.

Personal level:

As for myself once again, <= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'> allow my wife and I to thank you al= l for welcoming us to the area and the hospitality and encouragement given to us during the campagning period of the recently concluded 12th General Electio= n.

We believe that we would co= ntinue to receive your kind support and acceptance during my term of office as your representative in the State Assembly.

Together we will make the C= HANGE and United We Stand and resurrect the former glory of Perak, and in particu= lar make Taiping a vibrant town!

Acknowledgement:

The slim margin between Dat= o Ho and I shows that he is the better person to win, have it not been for the Wind of Change. Dato Ho is always the big br= other in Pokok Assam whom we all respect and I seek guidance at all times. I request you all to join me= in acknowledging the contribution of Dato Ho in the last 13 years as your representative and all the development he has brought to this town. Let’s give Dato Ho a round o= f applause!
